School Supplies
The district recognizes the need to request that parents/students purchase or lease special, personal items due to the nature of the activity or course. Items required for a course or to prepare and complete a New York State Regents examination such as, but not limited to, graphing calculators, will be provided by the district for each student’s use where students are unable to supply their own.
Parents are asked to purchase supplies for their own children, in accordance with the Board of Education Regulation on School Supply Guidelines 7440R. Supply lists will be standardized for grades K-8 and shall be posted here prior to the start of each school year.
2026-2027
First Grade
5 - Heavy duty, flexible vinyl, 2-pocket folders (colors: 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 green, and 1 purple)
1 - Crayola or Mr. Sketch washable thick markers, classic colors (8 count)
4 - Crayola crayons (24 count)
4 - Expo thin dry erase markers, black only (4 count)
1 - Hard plastic pencil box (extra large: 11.5" x 7.625" x 2.875"), clear
10 - Glue sticks
1- Ziploc bags, gallon size (1 box, girls)
1- Ziploc bags, sandwich size, not foldovers (1 box, boys)
$10.00 Activity/Project Fee – Please send a check for $10.00 made out to “Shenendehowa CSD” (after you receive your classroom teacher assignment in August).
Wired headphones for Chromebooks (no earbuds, no wireless) in a Ziploc bag labeled with the student's name.

Swimsuit – (one-piece for girls, trunks for boys) and towels will be needed during the Spring when PE classes will be receiving swim instruction at the Aquatic Center.

Please wait until you receive the letter from your child’s teacher to determine whether you should purchase folders (Beidl and Peters) or send in the Portfolio Fee (Keller and Kilgallon).
